  1. I’m looking for a no drill front license plate mount for a 2012 Toyota Sequoia Platinum. Any suggestions?

  2. Hey Mark
Any solutions for the new Lexus RC (sport). I was in a users group and people were looking to keep the plate off the monster grill. A plate just kills the aesthetics of the design- both the RC and IS (sport). Thanks for your expertise.

    • Hi Bob! First of all let me say what a beautiful design. That’s a great looking car. My first thought is, where does the dealer want to put the plate? It looks like the grill goes over the bumper so, through the grill into the bumper? The flowing design doesn’t appear to have any jack ports on the left or right, so that’s out. You have to be careful going too low with the plate because if it goes below the bottom lip, it will undoubtedly get beat up. It looks like the best bet is the grill area below the bumper. If this was NASCAR, I would say that putting the plate below the bumper would make you go faster, but might make you overheat because you’re blocking the air intake…sorry, I’m a NASCAR fan. If you put it below the bumper, you will have to take advantage of the grill openings. It’s pretty curved, so it might be difficult, but it will probably work. With that in mind, I have a couple of suggestions. First there is a no-drill solution actually designed for the Tesla S that mounts to the honeycomb grill. It might work for your application. You probably should contact them to see what they think. You can call them at (877) 343-6933 or email them at [email protected] Another possibility is the DIY bracket solution I found and wrote an article about. Read about it here. https://www.licenseplatebracketcentral.com/front-plate-bracket-diy-no-drill-license-plate-bracket/ Most other brackets depend on having a jack port or access to the underside of the bumper. I wish I could be of more help, but that beautiful design of yours definitely wasn’t made with license plate brackets in mind! Best of luck! -Mark

  3. Do you know if a no drill solution for the new 2016 Volvo XC90? I’m looking for something to thread into the tow hook temporarily for purposes of inspection stickers.

    Thanks

  4. My husband just bought a dodge ram sport hemi, is there a bracket on the market he can get for his truck so he doesn’t have to drill hole in the bumper?

    • Hi Sharon, it would be very helpful if you could tell me what year the Ram Sport is or send me a close-up picture of the front-end. I’m sure we can come up with a solution. -Mark

  5. Do you have any recommendations for a no dill front plate mount for the new 2016 Tacoma…? Thx in advance.

    • Hi Tom, check out SlyBrackets.com they make brackets for the Tacoma. I would definitely contact them before you buy to make sure their brackets will fit the new model. If not, I’m sure they’re working on it. -Mark

  6. Hi Mark, Would know if there is a no-drill front license plate option for my 2003 Buick Century. This car came from Florida where they don’t have front plates and I am dreading drilling holes in the bumper. It does not appear that one is specifically made for my application, but perhaps you know of a universal one that will work.
    Warmest Regards,
    Doug

  7. Hi, Our company recently installed a salt spreader on a 2005 Dodge Ram Pickup. The spreader is rear center mounted totally covering the factory existing rear lighted license plate. Is there a lighted license plate mount kit that can be attached to the ride side rear bumper? Thanks.

    • Hi Fred, here’s what I would do. Buy a lighted license plate bracket that you can get at any auto parts store or on Amazon. Buy some metal strapping with the holes in it that you can get at any hardware store. Mount the bracket to two of the holes using standard license plate bracket screws or bolts. Then, mount the straps around the bumper and secure with bolts or screws. That would be the easiest and least expensive thing and you don’t have to drill any holes. It’s true that since you’re spreading salt, I can imagine that the metal strapping and screws would rust pretty quickly so you might want to consider dipping the metal in rubber coating or covering the metal with some spray to protect it. If you want to try one of the “no-drill” solutions, just contact me and I will make some suggestions, but despite their name you will probably need to drill into the bottom of the bumper. -Mark
