    Lake Hallie is a community of about 7,000 residents and is located between the Cities of Eau Claire (Pop. 65,000) and Chippewa Falls (Pop. 13,000). Lake Hallie is located near State Highways 29 and 124, with close access to State Highways 178, 53, and Interstate 94. The Chippewa Valley Airport is located within a couple miles of our community and we have the Chippewa River and Lake Hallie in our jurisdiction.
    I am contacting you today in an attempt to obtain a donation of new, used, or refurbished Back-up Camera System for a Humvee we acquired through Wisconsin’s 1033 Program. The 1033 program permits law enforcement agencies to acquire used military surplus vehicles and equipment.
    The Lake Hallie Police Department is currently in the process of transitioning our Humvee from a military style vehicle into an emergency/rescue response vehicle we may deploy during emergency management incidents. Please see the attached photographs of the Humvee in its current condition.
    The department is looking for the following equipment, but any equipment would be greatly appreciated:
